Catch what matters
A private place to hold your thoughts, so Alo picks up where you left off.
Alo is a private space to think out loud. You talk, Alo asks questions — the kind that help you hear yourself more clearly.
It's especially useful between therapy sessions, when something's weighing on you and you want to process it before your next appointment. Alo isn't a replacement for the people in your life — it's a way to show up to those conversations with more clarity.
You don't have to explain things perfectly. Just start where you are.
Alo is an AI — not a therapist. It can't diagnose or treat mental health conditions, and it's not a substitute for professional care.
Alo doesn't send reminders or try to pull you back. You come when you want, on your terms.
Your conversations are private — always. Your therapist never sees what you say to Alo.
If you're connected to a therapist through Alowen, they can see general patterns across your sessions and whether you've completed any reflections they've assigned. That's it. They aren't notified in real time — they review at their own pace, usually to prepare for your next session.
Guest conversations aren't saved after the session ends. If you're signed in, you stay in control: turn memory off, start a private session (nothing gets saved), or ask Alo to forget a specific topic.
Journal entries are private by default — your therapist can't see them unless you choose to share a specific entry.
If you're experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency number.
If you share something that sounds like a crisis, Alo will pause and share these resources with you directly.
Alo doesn't store your conversations word for word. When memory is on, it keeps brief notes — just enough to pick up where you left off next time.
You're always in control: turn memory off, go private for a session, or ask Alo to forget something.
Memory is available when you're signed in. Guests start fresh every visit.
Journal entries are private by default. You choose what to share. Your therapist can only see entries you explicitly share — and you can revoke sharing at any time.
Alo may reference your journal entries naturally in conversation to provide better continuity, but never comments on the act of journaling itself.
Alo is made by Alowen — a small team building thoughtful AI for emotional well-being.
Alo uses short summaries from recent conversations for continuity. Your therapist cannot see this.
